In collaboration, Katrina Jayne Photography & Jane Alexandra Events are teaming up to host a three day getaway in beautiful Paso Robles at an exclusive resort winery. This is an opportunity to take your photography business to the next level, expand your portfolio, and connect with other industry professionals. You will learn the business and application of photography, and have the opportunity to photograph multiple editorial sessions. Accommodations, food and beverage, stylized sessions, and photography education is included! Why is everything included? Because we want you to fully focus on what is most important, improving as a photographer and business owner.
I impulsively picked up a professional camera in 2009 with no idea what I was doing. After spending 3 years (& tens of thousands of dollars) attending the best photography school, working full time in the commercial and advertising photo world for two years, I officially launched my business at the end of 2014. Now, almost 5 successful years later, it is my goal to help photographers perfect their technical skills while crafting their artistic style and creating a sustainable business that they love.
I know what feels like to have a dream, but feel like you are completely out of your league. I was lucky enough to find a mentor that had an open book policy and that's exactly what I am offering you. In my opinion, I believe that we will all grow by sharing our knowledge with one another. I quickly grew my business by making mistakes and learning from them, and I want to share what I have learned with you so that you will have a clear path to success.
My goal is for you to leave this workshop feeling inspired and fueled with the tools & information you need to elevate your photography and build a successful business.
In July of 2014 my high school sweetheart got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. After the initial excitement and celebrations I completely immersed myself in Wedding Planning. I quickly fell in love with the process obsessing over every aspect from the initial design stage to collaborating with my vendors. Creating a night that not only my husband and I would remember forever, but also my guests brought me indescribable joy. It was then I knew I wanted to create a business that would allow me to share that joy with my clients.
I've had to learn the hard way the struggles of being a small business owner but eventually gained the knowledge on how to successfully grow a business through customer service, networking, and building a team I can trust.
During this workshop, I will design two stylized sessions in collaboration with our vendor team. One will be an engagement session and the other will be a wedding day, including ceremony and reception with a bride and groom. I'll also be leading a discussion on vendor relations. My goal is to leave you feeling confident when collaborating and interacting with fellow vendors with an emphasis on wedding planner relations. I look forward to meeting you!
