Cal State University Northridge is a hidden gem full of different locations – perfect for an engagement session! Kelly & Tom were up for anything which made them even more fun to photograph! Their playful spirit, love of life, and huge hearts is something to be inspired by. I’m so grateful to be able to be apart of their wedding this February!
Proposal story from the bride to be ~ “Tom proposed in the Kissing Lounge at the restaurant Beso. We were completely alone in this perfectly romantic setting. He knelt and spoke lovely words I didn’t hear at all (adrenaline overload!); apparently I kept saying, “Oh my God, Tom. Oh my God, Tom.” He later paraphrased when he restated that “there [will] never be the perfect moment, or the perfect bank account figure, or the perfect age, but [that] there [was] the perfect woman…” We returned to our table to find champagne and had a lovely dinner. My sister (my Maid of Honor) was my first call and she did an excellent job of feigning excitement. I later found out that Tom had told her beforehand, because she was at our condo lighting over 300 tea lights (literally – she bought a bag of 300 tea lights and grabbed any others she had) throughout our entire home. When I walked in the door, there was a perfect playlist playing some of our favorite songs, enough candles to naturally light the entire place, and rose petals everywhere. It was out of a movie, and I still can’t believe I’m lucky enough to have had it happen to me.”
