Chicago Engagement Session

I know people say that Paris is the city of love, but in my world it’s Chicago. We first visited this city back in 2015 and it became our favorite city so quickly- we even got engaged here. The main reason why we love this city is because of the people who call it home. We were so impressed with how nice everyone was and how much pride they have in their city. It shouldn’t seem surprising, but we have been through the hustle and bustle of a big city countless times and have never had so many people take the time to say hello, please, thank you, ask a stranger how they’re doing, and really make us feel included.

After all that, you can imagine my excitement when we started booking weddings and engagement sessions with the people who call Chicago home!

Lauren and Adam are two of the kindest souls and just so darn adorable together. They have also had the best attitudes when it comes to postponing their wedding due to COVID-19 it’s honestly inspiring. I also want to mention, Lauren has an incredible blog, Lake Shore Lady that all women should follow, especially brides. She has great resources for brides planning their weddings, she is fashionable, down to earth, and honest about all of her experiences. We cannot wait to photograph and celebrate them next year, but for now we are looking back at their engagement photos!

For their engagement session we started in their own neighborhood and then ventured into downtown Chicago. Their engagement photos wouldn’t be complete without their fur-baby Luna so obviously, we brought her along with us. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
