If I’m being completely honest, I’ve never been a morning person. I’ve tried over and over… I’ve even read the book The Miracle Morning and watched the author’s Youtube videos. If you know me REALLY well you would think a crazy person had taken over my body when I recommended to Ariana and Lucas that we start their Griffith Observatoryengagement session at sunrise to avoid the crowds.

Waking up on the morning of their session turned out to be easy. More than being sleepy, I was excited to get them in front of my lens and even more excited to finally meet them in person! Up until this point, we have only ever had phone call meetings because Lucas travels often as a professional baseball player and Ariana is currently based in Northern California finishing up her degree to become a veterinarian. I know what you’re thinking, power couple, and indeed they are. They’re high school sweethearts who are excelling in their careers and have proven that it doesn’t matter where in the world you are, as long as you have love and respect for one another, your relationship will thrive.

The best way to describe their session with one word is effortless. These two are naturals in front of the camera and honestly, if someone told me my job was to follow them around with a camera all day long, every day, I would be thrilled.
