Los Angeles Engagement Session | Daniela & Eddie

Engagement season is the best! It’s an exciting time full of hope, dreams about the future, and celebration. Daniela and Eddie are newly engaged and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this August! For their engagement session L.A. Arboretum was the perfect location…

Yes, I was wearing croc flats from work and I had known about the proposal I would have been wearing nicer shoes. Eddie and I had talked about getting married and I knew he was going to do it but I never knew when. He really worked hard to keep me surprised because I had no idea. My friends were being weird but I just thought they were being strange because life but I didn’t realize that everyone was in on this surprise. All I can remember from that night is just pure happiness. Every time, I tell people the story of how he proposed I just get all jittery and happy because it was so great to say yes to my best friend and embark on a new journey and it was amazing being with all my favorite people in the world in one place.” ~ Daniela

“I wanted Daniela’s friends and family to be there and after getting everyone’s schedule I got her friends from San Diego, best friends from high school, her family and my family to help me surprise her. I set three different tables for her to see each table had different pictures and a note of our memories. Setting up made me more nervous and anxious. I kept on telling myself, is this real? And I was really scared for Daniela’s reaction. She gets more nervous with romantic gestures but everything was perfect, the weather, the light up candles shaped in a heart at the end was perfect and I was ready for Daniela to arrive. I waited upstairs so that I can get a good view of her from above. When she arrived, my heart was beating so quickly. Once, she was there she knew the proposal was coming. I can still picture her smile as she looked at each table and read my notes. I came down and waited for her in the middle of the heart shaped candles. I had a whole speech in mind but I didn’t get to say all of it because I was so nervous. I said, I love you probably about 15 times. Her reaction to the ring was priceless, the box lights up when you open it and her face was glowing.” ~ Eddie

Daniela & Eddie’s Proposal story from the couple~ “My main focus was for Daniela to be surprised. It was months of thinking of different places and just making sure Daniela had no idea it was coming. I went back and forth to beautiful castles and gardens to taking trips but I knew that by doing that she would be completely aware that I was going to propose.

The night before the proposal I kept on picturing myself and her in the patio of the Long Beach Museum. This is the same spot we will say our I do’s and become one. I was nervous and I couldn’t sleep at all the night before. It was finally the day and I arrived to get everything set up. I wanted Daniela’s friends and family to be there and after getting everyone’s schedule I got her friends from San Diego, best friends from high school, her family and my family to help me surprise her. Her reaction to the ring was priceless, the box lights up when you open it and her face was glowing. I went down on one knee and asked to spend the rest of our life together and she said yes. Everyone popped out of their hiding places and she was completely shocked by seeing everyone there. The whole night I just kept on looking at her face and seeing her smile so big and laughing. I can still see her smile from the night and all the joy she had from being with all her loved ones always makes me happy.
