We finally found some time to pick out a tree! This has been one of our busiest years, but we made time for one of our favorite traditions. Christmas is our favorite holiday and it wouldn’t be complete without a Christmas tree!
One of Peter’s favorite traditions growing up was going to the Christmas Tree Farm to pick out, cut down, and bring home a beautiful tree. Growing up, I never had a real tree. My family had a fake one because they were worried about a fire. I didn’t even know Christmas Tree Farms existed until our first Christmas together! We started this tradition again a few years ago and at first I was a little hesitant, but what is a relationship without compromise? For every real tree that he cuts down I get to plant one in its place.
We actually got a photo together! That never happens at the Tree Farm. Thank goodness for make-shift tripods out of wallets and self timers…
Yes! We started picking a tree when there was daylight and ended right after sunset… we never rush through this tradition.
I’d love to hear about some of your favorite traditions. Please feel free to share them below in the comment section! 🙂
