Inspiration tends to strike when I least expect it… My dear friend, Jane, and I were hiking in the hills of Westlake Village when we stumbled across one of the most beautiful landscapes we have ever seen. We were immersed in green and gold tones with the wind blowing through our hair. As the sun set behind a large Oak tree, we began brainstorming how we could throw an impromptu Westlake Village wedding shoot together in only two days.
Jane knew the perfect couple for this session, Daryn and Jason! They met at Chapter Eight in Thousand Oaks and quickly fell in love. They moved to Jason’s hometown in New Zealand to follow their passion for adventure. When they decided to settle down they moved back to California and tied the knot. Daryn and Jason have been married for Four years, but have never had professional wedding photos taken so this was the perfect opportunity!
This earthy romantic session turned into the perfect anniversary session for Daryn and Jason since their wedding anniversary was right around the corner…
I cannot get enough of these dreamy florals by Darlingtonia Designs… Kelsey, your talent is undeniable!
“The shoot was the epitome of earthy romance and we had so much fun putting it together! You would never know that we planned and shot the entire shoot in only a few days! It is proof that when inspiration strikes so does the motivation to make something beautiful happen. ” ~ Jane Alexandra Events
